Berzerkley vs the Marines
On January 29th, the Berkeley City Council spat directly in the face of the United States Marine Corps.

What planet are these people from anyway? Do they honestly believe that recruiters have one iota of say in who we go to war with? I can't even begin to understand how this city council and the 'Code Pink' morons think, but we as a nation should be outraged. Whether you're for or against the war has nothing to do with it; we're talking about a governmental group that is actively pursuing treasonous and seditious acts against the government of the United States - and which are a violation of Federal law. If you want to protest the war, then by all means do so...but if you hold a position in government you are a bit different from Joe Average. You simply don't invite loons to interfere with legal recruiting operations of the United States of America. You take your differences of opinion up with those above you who have the power to change things, not sanction terroristic acts against those who have nothing to do with making policy in Washington. You, City Council Members of Berkeley, California, are a collection of smarmy COWARDS, unlike the Marines you hate so much.
Politics aside, a recruiting station is a leased piece of property no different than any other private enterprise. What would you think if you owned a TV repair store and your city council decided that they no longer like TVs and encouraged people to deface your property, impede your business, and even gave these people a parking spot right in front of your store? Would this not be a gross injustice and abuse of power?
We are living in an age where now, more than ever, we need leaders that are about business - whether those leaders are members of some pissant council or president of the United States. Not some aging hippies bent on theatrics and bullshit. These people should be recalled instantly and replaced with serious people who are ready to tackle city business rather than disgrace themselves by crapping all over decent men and women and giving aid and support to kooky fringe groups. I mean, look at these goddamn people:

The only reason they have the right to be a collection of pussified morons in the first place is because of the military who has defended these rights for centuries. I'd scoop up every last one of them and plop them into Pyongyang and see how they like it. 'Free speech' is a wonderful thing, it is a shame that Berzerkley has decided that this is a right afforded only to lunatics. Marines have never had this right, though they have made damn sure you have it.

I left out Mr. Gordon Wozniak as he was the lone voice of dissent (and reason) in the meeting. Unfortunately he was overridden by the loons.
Quite frankly, considering the treasonous and illegal nature of the actions of these self-important, imperious nobodies that call themselves a city council I would be highly inclined to simply declare Berkeley, California it's own country and cut off ALL federal funding even beyond what Mr. De Mint has proposed. No roads, no friggin' ferry boat, nothing. And to those that say that it will affect people who have nothing to do with the council's actions, I say our embargo against Cuba and North Korea do precisely the same. The council represents the will of the people, if not, then the people should damn well get rid of them and replace them with people who have some sense.
It isn't 1969 anymore, people. Take off the nehru jacket, put away the love beads, pull your heads out of your collective backside, and wake the hell up.
