They are in work talking with Japanese auto makers to get this on the assembly line, and I wish them the best of luck. I'm hoping variants of this engine can be produced that will be able to power larger, faster vehicles; and I don't see why this wouldn't be feasible. If they can get this into the market the amount of money to be made would be staggering. And can you imagine the implications if this exciting technology could be adapted to trucks, farm equipment, even ships?
We should all be effing outraged at the price we are paying just to live while our government squanders our money. In the 70's when there was a gas shortage, there was rationing and long lines at the pumps. That isn't happening now, why? Because there is no shortage, just a lot of bastards getting filthy rich at the cost of regular people who are forking over a considerable percentage of their income just so they can get to work to earn more money to stuff into gas pumps and cash registers.
We've spent 3 trillion dollars invading a country than just happens to be sitting on the second largest oil reserve in the world and yet the cost of a barrel of oil has doubled in only two years. All the while Iraqis are paying $1.36 a gallon - so cheap that the streets of Baghdad are choked with people that have decided to become taxi drivers. Does anyone not see something crooked going on here? When are we going to get sick enough of bending over to take it in the poop-chute every week to say 'We're not going to take it anymore!'?
Let's see them try to charge $150 for a barrel of oil when people are filling their tanks with a garden hose!
